Get to Know Fr. Finbar Ramsak, OSB
We asked Father to answer a few questions about himself. Read a little more about Fr. Finbar, and stop in room 315 to say hello!
Where did you go to college and how long have you worked here?
My bachelors degree is from Mercyhurst University in History and my Masters in Monastic Studies from St. Vincent Seminary. I also received my Bachelor of Sacred Theology from St. Vincent College and Catholic University. I have been teaching for 9 years, all of them at the Home of Champions.
What is a favorite moment and/or what makes Benedictine special?
Community makes it special.
Outside of school, what are your hobbies or interests?
I love to read! My favorite book is the Bible & Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien.
What is your favorite quote?
“Not all who wander are lost.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
What is your favorite song?
Green Fields of France by The High Kings

I’m a monk. AND I have been the Benedictine Asst. Varsity Soccer coach for 4 years.
